AIR

There are direct flights to Fortaleza from the most European countries and US. TAP (Air Portugual) has direct flights Lisbon / Fortaleza and also DELTA has direct flights from Atlanta / Fortaleza . Beyond other European airlines such as Alitalia, Air France and Martin Air have direct flights weekly from Italy, France and Holland respectivel.

From other countries, probably the flight arrived in Brazil through Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, but also can reach via Manaus, Recife and Natal. Anyway, once in Brazil, there are several daily flights to Fortaleza.

ROAD & OFF ROAD

From Fortaleza path has to follow the road, approximately 350 km of highway and + or - 15 km OFF ROAD or trough the mainly beaches, tour with 1 or 2 days. Jericoacoara is almost on the border of Piauí, in the Parque Nacional de Jericoacoara. Due to its location the access is only possible through the National Park or Preá beach. In both cases the safest way is to be on board a 4x4 vehicle, preferably with specialized driver.

It is not advisable to rent a vehicle and followed for Jeri. The road between Fortaleza and Jericoacoara is not well marked and the patch between the dunes and beach only to be followed by people who know the way and are accustomed to driving in the sand.
